After releasing 9 albums under his own name, Ulrich Ellison has established himself as a top-shelf guitarist on the international Blues rock scene.
Ellison made a name for himself in 2016 after winning 3 Austin Music Awards – the first European to ever win the “Best Guitar” Award, in line with names like Stevie Ray Vaughan, Eric Johnson or Gary Clark Jr.
As a student, he won 3 acclaimed Downbeat Awards in the category "Best Blues/Pop/Rock soloist". In 2018, he became the first guitarist to ever play in the band of 10-time Grammy winner Jose Feliciano, and toured the world as his musical director.
The new album is announced for release in Spring 2024 and already shows a strong new musical direction with the first single "Do What Your Mama Says". The song has Kenny Aronoff on drums (Joe Satriani, Jon Bon Jovi, John Fogerty, Smashing Pumkins, etc.).
What makes Ulrich Ellison stand out is an authentic guitar voice that is deeply rooted in tradition, not afraid to explore beyond any stylistic and cultural borders. Unlike cliché virtuoso guitarists however, Ellison always focuses on songwriting and storytelling. The man can also sing! Together with his world-class rhythm section consisting of Jeff Botta on drums and vocals, and Bryce Powell on bass, organ, synthesizer and vocals, he puts on a fantastic show that inspires and connects, letting masses of blues and rock lovers leave with a smile, night after night, show after show.
